The first edition of Puntagave Double Barrel Anejo undergoes a meticulous two-step aging process, beginning with one year in used American oak barrels. Half of the batch is then transferred to new American oak barrels from the Pennsylvania-famous "Nadalie cooperative" with Symphony toast, while the other half is aged in new French oak barrels from the forest of Allier, France, for an additional year. Finally, the two components are blended together to create this extraordinary tequila.

This double-barrel aging process imparts a dark amber color, along with an extremely rich texture and complex aromas. Despite the extended aging, the cooked agave, spice, and floral notes characteristic of Puntagave's silver expression remain present and intensified in this unique offering.
